Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Chris obtained his bachelor’s degrees in political science and religious studies from Appalachian State University. After undergraduate, Chris commissioned as an officer in the Marine Corps, serving for five years as an Intelligence Officer.

While in graduate school at SDSU, Chris has completed an internship at San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), helped re-establish the SDSU City Planning Association as Vice President, and has been an active committee member on the San Diego APA Young Emerging Planners Group.

Chris is incredibly thankful for his wife, Claire, who has supported him throughout his entire journey. Upon graduation, Chris, Claire, and their nine-year-old husky will be moving back to the East Coast.
