Simona Di Sabatino: Most Outstanding Criminal Justice Undergrad

Simona Di Sabatino, an Italian immigrant, extends her heartfelt congratulations to the graduating class of 2024. Her presence among the graduates exemplifies the rich diversity that thrives within the SDSU community. Di Sabatino's story is a testament to the power of hard work and determination. As an older student with three children, she made the courageous decision to return to school after the COVID-19 pandemic forced her to leave her career as an international tour guide.

In 2022, Di Sabatino graduated with distinction, earning a Paralegal AA, a Law Public Policy AAT, and a "Pathway to Law School" certificate from Santa Ana Community College, where she was also chosen as Valedictorian. Today, she demonstrates remarkable balance by working part-time at a boutique law firm while simultaneously pursuing a thriving career as an international tour guide during a busy travel season. Despite this demanding schedule, Di Sabatino is graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

Looking ahead, Di Sabatino has already begun preparing for the LSAT, her steadfast resolve focused on gaining acceptance to law school and ultimately becoming a lawyer. Her journey serves as an inspiration to her family, friends, and others, as she continues to lead by example and empower them to create positive change in their own lives.
