Justine Murray: Most Outstanding Master of Public Administration
Justine Murray is currently the Executive Director of Public Affairs for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.
A native San Diegan, Justine grew up in Rancho Penasquitos and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School. She earned her Bachelor in degree in History, with a minor in Political Science, from UC San Diego in 2018, and will earn her Masters in Public Administration from San Diego State in May of 2024. Justine has always had an interest in public service, but it was her passion for local policy and her love for her hometown that brought her to work for the San Diego City Council in 2017.
Justine joins the Chamber after serving the City of San Diego for seven years, as an advisor to two Councilmembers. In her previous role as Councilmember Raul Campillo’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Policy Director, she was responsible for advising the Councilmember on all issues that pertain to District 7, the City at large, and the San Diego region, and supervised the Office’s policy team in collecting data and evidence, as well as communicating with constituents,advocacy organizations, and stakeholders to build support for the office’s legislative proposals.
Prior to that, Justine served as a Policy Advisor and Community Representative forCouncilmember Barbara Bry.
