Bio
Jason Huynh serves as the 2026 City Management & Urban Studies Fellow for Heartland Fire & Rescue–the fireauthority for the East County cities of El Cajon, La Mesa, and Lemon Grove. He earned his Bachelors’ degree inPolitical Science from the University of California, Riverside. Jason is a former Management Analyst for the City ofStanton, with experience in grant administration, procurement & contract management, and policy research. Hisresearch interests are focused on performance measurement and improving local government relations withcommunity members through outreach and engagement. Jason’s ultimate career ambitions are to become a CityManager or department director.
