Dr. Robert Sobie
Dr. Robert J. Sobie joined the School of Public Affairs as a lecturer in 2015 and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration. He has also served as a program coordinator for the Online MPA degree program. For AY 16/17, he received the outstanding lecturer award. Dr. Sobie earned his MPA and Ph.D. in Public Administration from Western Michigan University. Dr. Sobie has 16 years of teaching experience and he has over 35 years of experience working in county government as a county administrator and chief technology officer. He has served for many years on nonprofit boards addressing social issues of homelessness, domestic violence, workforce development, and economic development.
