Annette Burkeen
Annette Burkeen is a Lecturer in the Criminal Justice program in the School of Public Affairs at San Diego State University. She earned her B.A. in Classical Civilization from the University of Southern California and her J.D. from Howard University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Chicago. She has experience teaching both law students and undergraduates students. She currently teaches Crime & Behavior, Constitutional Issues in the Criminal Justice System, and Law Enforcement Administration. Her research focuses on judicial politics, the role of courts in shaping economic and political power, and racial politics.
